Switchgear Modification

Upgrades and conversions that adapt existing switchgear to the way your facility runs now.

Switchgear outlives the process it was bought for. When loads change, or the old interrupting technology gets hard to maintain, modification is often a better answer than replacement.

We convert legacy equipment to solid-state and vacuum technology, put in main-tie-main schemes for redundancy, and carry out upgrades as operating requirements change. We also install and upgrade transfer switches, so power moves over cleanly during outages and maintenance.

Typical reasons people call

  • The facility is adding load and the gear is at its limit.
  • You need a second source or a tie between buses.
  • Parts and support for the existing breakers are running out.
